Photo of Ashley E. Shannon, O.D.Dr. Ashley Shannon was born and raised in DFW. She attended Texas A&M University (Gig’em 👍🏻) where she decided to follow in the footsteps of her mother and grandfather and attend optometry school. Dr. Ashley graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 2023 and returned home to join her mom, Dr. Shannon, at Shannon Vision Care.

In her free time, Dr. Ashley is catching up on her piles of casual reading and spending lots of time with family and friends. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new places. While on her clinical rotations in 2022, she visited 16 different states!

Dr. Ashley is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the North East Texas Optometric Association. She has training in adult and pediatric primary care, contact lens fitting as well as treatment and management of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Ashley believes everyone should be treated with kindness and compassion and is always willing to work with her patients to find a solution. She is incredibly excited to be back home and is looking forward to building connections with all of her patients!
